Auritra Sharma
I am a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate at KUET with a strong passion for automotive systems, robotics, and mechanical design. Over the past two years, I have gained practical experience in CAD modeling, FEA-based simulation, and mechanical system development through extensive project involvement and student-led engineering teams. I am currently a member of Team KILOFLIGHT (Formula Student Team), where I contribute to the Chassis and Suspension sub-team, working on frame design, suspension packaging, and performance analysis using tools like SolidWorks and ANSYS. I also play an active role in Team DURBAR (Mars Rover Team) as part of the Arm Segment, focusing on the mechanical design of a multifunctional robotic arm intended for planetary exploration. Previously, I served as a subcommittee member of CADers, KUET’s core CAD-based organization, where I worked as Assistant Treasurer and contributed to event planning, financial management, and design-related tasks. I was also involved in organizing and facilitating workshops, helping participants develop CAD modeling skills and become industry-ready. I am SolidWorks CSWA, CSWP, and CSWP-Sheet Metal certified, demonstrating my expertise in part modeling, assemblies, configurations, sheet metal design, and basic simulation workflows. These certifications have enabled me to create parametric, performance-optimized mechanical designs and tackle advanced design challenges. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a solid foundation in design for manufacturing, structural analysis, and collaborative engineering. I am eager to apply these skills to real-world challenges in the automotive or aerospace industry, with a focus on innovation, performance, and sustainable engineering solutions.
